Hyderabad, India, January 21, 2020 : 116 data science professionals from the 11th batch of Certificate Programme in Business Analytics (CBA) graduated at the Indian School of Business on 4th January. Rohit Kapoor, CEO – India & South Asia, OYO, was the Chief Guest for the Graduation Ceremony. Offered by the ISB Institute of Data Science, the CBA programme trains the students on four important aspects of business analytics – Statistics, Programming, AI and Machine Learning, and Business Applications such as Marketing Analytics, Financial Analytics, Retails & Supply Chain Analytics, and Forecasting Analytics.
Addressing his thoughts as a chief guest and also as an alumnus of the school, Rohit Kapoor said, “I am extremely honoured to be present at the graduation ceremony at my alma mater, ISB. Heartiest congratulations to all the CBA participants graduating today. OYO has always taken pride in being blessed with dynamic leaders from ISB who are a true inspiration for today’s youth. We see ISB being the nursery for future leaders, where they are continuously learning to solve the challenges of the future.”
In the graduation ceremony, Suneet Singh Bhatia got the gold medal, and Vivek Suhag got the silver medal for academic excellence in the programme. Professor Sudhir Voleti, Associate Professor, and Associate Dean – Faculty Alignment and Registrar’s Office (FARO) at Indian School of Business presided over the ceremony.
Professor Manish Gangwar, Executive Director of ISB Institute of Data Science in his talk, highlighted the demand for business analytics and data science professionals. The business analytics programme at ISB Institute of Data Science primarily geared towards working professionals who want to upskill or move to the data science field. The focus of the business analytics programme is to help students develop a holistic understanding of the use of data science to solve business problems rather than just training students on ML and AI tools.
Certificate Programme in Business Analytics (CBA) programme is a 15-months long programme with two intakes in a year.
