Samsung, India’s consumer-focused brand, launched the Galaxy Fold, a meticulously crafted luxury smartphone that unveils a new era of smartphone design, technology and consumer experience for those who desire only the best in life.
Samsung is writing the next chapter in the mobile industry with Galaxy Fold, the world’s first Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display. Galaxy Fold is designed to inspire new experiences. What’s more, Galaxy Fold consumers will get a never before experienced new standard of premium customer care in the mobile space, with a dedicated 24×7 expert on call. Consumers who buy Galaxy Fold on Samsung India’s online store, Samsung Shop, will get their device delivered to them through a Concierge.

The Unboxing Experience
The premium Galaxy Fold experience starts when you open the box. The device is laid out flat, inviting you to have your first experience of folding the device. Each Galaxy Fold is accompanied by a welcome message and care instructions offering clear guidance for how to use this new, luxury device.
Each Galaxy Fold comes with Galaxy Buds in the box, so that one can fully enjoy its superior multimedia experience on the go. For added protection, a unique slim Aramid Fiber case is also included in the box. Designed just for Galaxy Fold, this special case made of fiber has high capacity to withstand pressure. Screen measured diagonally as a full rectangle without accounting for the rounded corners and the upper cutout. Actual viewable area is less due to the rounded corners and the upper cutout.

- New Display Materials: The internal screen does not merely bend. It folds. Folding is a more intuitive motion, and a more difficult innovation to deliver. Samsung invented a new polymer layer and created a display around 50 percent thinner than the typical smartphone display. The new material makes Galaxy Fold flexible and tough, built to last.
- New Hinging Mechanism: Galaxy Fold opens smoothly and naturally, like a book, and closes flat and compact with a satisfying click. To achieve this, Samsung engineered a sophisticated hinge with multiple interlocking gears. This system is housed in a hidden enclosure for a seamless and elegant look.
- New Design Elements: From the screen to the housing, to every element you can see and touch – Samsung left no stone unturned. The fingerprint scanner is found on the side where the thumb naturally rests, so the device unlocks easily. Two batteries and the components are evenly distributed so Galaxy Fold feels balanced in your hands. Color with unique finishing – Cosmos Black—and the engraved hinge with Samsung logo complete its elegant fit and finish.
Galaxy Fold Premier Service
Among the other personalized services is Galaxy Fold Premier Service, which comes with a dedicated helpline (1800-20-7267864) that will have expert customer care executives on call 24×7. It also offers a one-year Infinity Flex Display Protection. The one-year Infinity Flex Display Protection will include accidental damage coverage with one-time protection, genuine parts, expert repair service and Galaxy Fold’s display. The one-year Infinity Flex Display Protection entitles customers who accidently damage their display to get it repaired for a discounted fee of INR 10,500.
Galaxy Fold Availability
Galaxy Fold comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage, and will be available in Premium Cosmos Black color, at INR 164,999. Pre-bookings for Galaxy Fold in India open on October 4, 2019 and deliveries will begin on October 20, 2019. Galaxy Fold will be available for pre-booking online on Samsung’s official online store, Samsung Shop, and offline in 35 cities across select 315 outlets, including the iconic Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru.
