GURGAON : India Accelerator, a launch pad for early stage technology startups, has announced its opening of applications for their 2nd Cohort Batch this summer 2018 of acceleration program commencing on 21st May, 2018. It’s the only Global Accelerator Network (GAN) – partnered Accelerator in India. The applications for the program can be filled online through India Accelerator’s website : http://www.indiaaccelerator.
While the accelerator will continue to welcome any good startup, the 2018 batch is specially focused on emerging exponential technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Deep learning and Blockchain with a strong focus on two verticals – Finance and Healthcare. India Accelerator (IA) will be considering upto 7 most promising – early stage and technology oriented startups to help them transform their idea into meaningful companies.
Commenting on the announcement, Mona Singh, Partner – India Accelerator said, “AI, while a buzzword, is still a black box for most people. A major entry barrier in this space is the talent and IP. Therefore, if a team is composed of data scientists, or has patents or has access to proprietary data, it would be a great candidate for investment even if there are no revenues.”
The intense, rapid and mentorship-driven 4-months program is aimed at accelerating the growth of the selected startups. The curriculum of the program is a combination of classroom sessions, deep dives, mentorship hours, industry leaders speaking with the founders and startups networking to leverage each other’s services.
In addition, IA will provide the startups with an opportunity to connect with top technologists, entrepreneurs, investors and mentors who can help them grow leaps and bounds. Additionally, the startups will get access to the rich network of GAN that provides a platform for cross pollination of startups between different geographies.
Apart from mentorship driven program, IA will also provide the startups an access to their state-of-the-art office infrastructure including office co-working space, general business assistance, access to exclusive events, and to a network of entrepreneurs, innovators, mentors, and colleagues.
For their 2018 batch, India Accelerator will be providing a funding up to INR 25 lakhs, including cash and services, to each startup to build a strong and sustainable business, with the potential to score follow-on funding after the demo day.
