New Relic Promotes Ben Goodman to Senior Vice President, Sales and General Manager for New Relic Asia Pacific and Japan

Customer success and digital experience leader to drive next phase of growth.

New Relic, Inc., the observability company, today announced the promotion of Ben Goodman to senior vice president, sales and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan. Goodman joined New Relic last year as senior vice president for ASEAN, India, Greater Hong Kong and Korea. He will report to Steve Hurn, executive vice president, worldwide sales at New Relic.

Goodman has 20 years of experience in the technology industry, leading high-performing sales teams, mapping go-to-market strategies and driving channel growth. Prior to joining New Relic, he was managing director and head of DX at Adobe Asia-Pacific. He has previously held senior regional roles at EMC, Dell EMC, and Pure Storage.

“Organisations are looking to rapidly enhance their digital presence and offerings now more than ever – a move in many ways hastened by the pandemic with record numbers of users flocking online for services,” Hurn said. “After excelling while overseeing much of Asia in a short span, Ben is now stepping up into a wider role in Asia Pacific to drive our growth by helping these organisations seize the power of their data with New Relic’s leading observability platform in order to deliver great digital experiences for their customers.”

“The demand for observability services shows no signs of abating, and I’m thrilled to be stepping into this new role to help more organisations and government agencies ensure that their digital investments deliver value to all stakeholders,” Goodman said. “Today, New Relic’s observability tools are behind some of the world’s biggest and most highly regarded providers of ecommerce, food delivery, healthcare, broadband and telecommunications, sports and entertainment. I’m excited at the opportunities ahead for New Relic to enhance the digital experiences in even more industries throughout the region.”

Leading organisations around the region, including Tokopedia in Indonesia, Thailand’s Bangkok Bank and True Digital, and IAG, Zip Co, and Expedia in Australia and New Zealand rely on New Relic’s observability platform to achieve greater scale and efficiency, improve uptime and performance, and accelerate time to market to deliver great customer experiences.
