The Mahila Samman Savings Certificate is a fixed deposit scheme that offers attractive interest rates released by Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan ji, Union Minister of State for Communications.
Hyderabad, India, April 17, 2023: A Special Postal cover on “MAHILA SAMMAN SAVINGS CERTIFICATE” newly introduced by Govt.of India was released by Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan ji, Union Minister of State for Communications of India at Kanha Shanthivanam Sub Post Office in august presence of “Padmabhushan Awardee” Sri. Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji), President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission & Global Heartfulness Guide.
The Special Cover carries a creative design of women empowerment through Post Office Savings Certificate and comes along with a Brochure containing features of the MAHILA SAMMAN SAVINGS CERTIFICATE and strategic plans of Telangana Postal Circle to extend the benefit of the scheme to all the eligible Women and Girl child of Telangana. The creative design of women empowerment is used as the cancellation logo for cancellation purposes also.
- During the release function, Union Minister distributed the Certificates to 10 Account holders who opened their accounts in Kanha Shanthivanam S.O.
- The Special Cover with special cancellation is priced at Rs. 50/- & without cancellation is priced at Rs. 45/- along with Brochure will be available for sale at the Philatelic Bureau (Hyderabad GPO) and other Philatelic counters (all Head Post Offices).
- The Special cover release was attended by Shri.K.Prakash- Chief Postmaster General, Telangana Circle, Dr. PVS Reddy-Postmaster General, Hyderabad Region, Smt T M Sreelatha-Postmaster General (Headquarter Region), Sri K A Devaraj-Director of Postal Services (Headquarters) and cross-section of the public.
- About 1.74 Crore girls and women are eligible for the scheme in Telangana. There are 6,208 Post Offices and 13,685 Postal Staff. Each major Post Office will aim for opening of 200 MSSC Accounts and each Branch Post Office will aim for 40 MSSC accounts by the end of June-23 such that all the eligible Women/girl of Telangana will be covered.
- As a part of this special campaign, DoP, Telagana circle will organize special camps in urban slums, underdeveloped colonies, rural, tribal and remote areas. Activities like rallies, road shows, bike rallies, melas, distribution of pamphlets, Tom Tom-s, display in televisions at all Head Post Offices and announcement through Public Announcement Systems are being undertaken.
- So far 4214 numbers of accounts have been opened in the Circle. During the special campaign at Kanha Shanthivanam S.O on 17.04.2023 102 accounts have been opened.

- Minister praised, the services done by Sri Ramachandra Mission under the able guidance of Shri Daji, especially for women empowerment and to brought up the down trodden people with in a short span of time. Further Minister has expressed his happiness to participate in the event in the premises of Kanha Santivanam.

- Daaji advised the Parents to invest in the girl child future instead of wasting money on unnecessary things can help small and poorer families by spending money for them.
- Daaji asked everyone in this scheme for providing financial security for women and to encourage girl children’s education to achieve their desired goals.

- Shri Daaji has sponsored for 20 Women @Rs.5,000 each for getting Mahila Samman Savings Certificates.
- Daaji personally conducted an experiential session on Heartfulness Meditation. Nearly 2000 audience attended the session.
