How to Have Fun with Your Friends Using Invisible Messages

Blank messages can be a good way to have fun with your friends on messaging apps like WhatsApp and Discord. Here, take a look below.

Not a lot of people know how to send invisible or blank messages. And that is pretty much why you can have fun with your friends by making it look like you’ve thought of a way to send simple spaces in messages.

If you want to learn how you use invisible/blank characters in your messages, check out the post below.

Why empty messages can’t be sent in messaging apps?

If you’ve used Gmail, you’ll know that you can pretty much send a totally blank email to anyone. You do get an alert, but you can just OK it.

But this is not the case with normal messaging apps.

The normal SMS service does allow users to send empty spaces as messages, but it’s not possible on apps like WhatsApp or Discord.

On apps like these, the message has to contain something, even if it is just one character.

How Can You Send Invisible Messages to Your Friends?

Let’ talk about the steps that you can follow to create and send an invisible message to your friends.

1.  Using invisible characters

The first method that you can use to send invisible messages is to use the invisible Unicode character, i.e., the U + 3164 character. There are other Unicode characters that can serve this same purpose as well, but this one works fine. It worked with WhatsApp and Discord both when we tried it.

The U + 3164 is basically an invisible spacer. It doesn’t show up under any input box or field, but it is recognized as a character all the same. It can be used by people to give space in places where a simple space is not allowed, such as username fields.

You can get this character easily on the internet. There are a lot of Unicode character indices that provide lists of all the characters in circulation. You can look up this particular character and then copy it over to your messaging app.

Here is the link to one such particular Unicode index and the U + 3164 character in particular.

2.  Using Invisible Character Generators

Another quicker way to do the same thing is to use an online invisible text generator. These tools basically save you the hassle of going to the Internet, looking for a character yourself, and then copying it over to the message window.

There are numerous such tools available on the Internet. Since we want to give you an idea of one particular tool, we’re going to pick the Invisible Character by Textreverse.com.

A lot of the invisible text generators available on the internet have a similar type of working – much like the one on Textreverse.com.

There is typically an option available for copying the character directly by pressing a button, and there is a second option for creating the character and then manually copying it.

You can look at both of these options in the screenshot above.

3.  By changing the color of the text

There are some messaging apps that allow users to change the color of their text messages. For example, Slack provides a number of options for formatting messages (although it doesn’t give an option for the text color).

If you happen to be using such an app (such as Telegram), you can simply color the text to match the background. This can also make it look as if the message is invisible.

Conclusion

Sending an invisible message to your friends can leave them scratching their heads. If you don’t know how to do it, you hopefully have an idea about it after reading the post above.
