New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that India is now the second biggest manufacturer of mobile phones. Addressing ‘India’s Techade: Chips for Viksit Bharat’ event virtually, PM Modi said, “Today, India is the second largest mobile manufacturer. We also started the National Quantum Mission (NQM). There is going to be a rapid expansion of the India AI mission. We are not just doing technology adoption but moving forward in technological advancement.” PM Modi also laid foundation stone of three semiconductor projects worth around Rs 1.25 lakh crore virtually.
