Following the success of lighting up the renowned Golden Temple, OSRAM Lighting Solutions once again has beautified another iconic site in India with cutting edge lighting products, making Jaipur City a true ruby on the country’s map.
Founded by Rajput rulers and the royal families, Jaipur is rich in culture and the home of heritage monuments, preserving mythological ancient Rajasthani culture to this day. Widely recognized as the Pink City due to its distinctive pink architecture like the arresting City Palace complex, Jaipur is one of the most unique and marvelous destinations in Asia.
This historic city was long overdue for a new renaissance in lighting. OSRAM Lighting Solutions has come aboard to fulfill this mission. 6613 lights, including the Traxon Nano Linear Allegro, Traxon Washer Allegro, OSRAM ARCHISHAPE Washer, and the OSRAM ARCHISHAPE Linear Wall Washer Mini, are now illuminating the City Palace and the avenues nearby with fascinating effect, bettering the nightlife of Jaipur residents.
“We built something that didn’t exist before,” said Mr. Ashok, Head of Sales in OSRAM Lighting Solutions India. “In a 5.7 km stretch of the city comprising 425 heritage monuments, 30 different type of lights were designed in 15 different beam angles and 8 different color temperatures to restore life to the architecture. Now, the heritage monuments hypnotize the walking crowd at night and speak aloud about the core and culture of the city.
The success of this project transforms Jaipur City into an iconic site at night just as it is in the day. With a wonderful combination of ancient heritage and culture, as well as ultra-modern technology, Jaipur now glows with the combination of new and old lifestyles.
