Hyderabad, India: A two-day conference for orthopaedic surgeons focused on cutting-edge technology, techniques, and advancements in implant biology was inaugurated Saturday evening at Park Hyatt in Banjara Hills.
Organized under the auspices of Plus Orthopaedic and Plus Education, the event aimed to enhance awareness and expertise among orthopaedic professionals regarding the latest developments in joint replacement.
The conference, themed “Technology, Technique, and Tribology,” was officially opened by renowned Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon and Managing Director of KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals, Dr. A.V. Gurava Reddy, alongside prominent orthopaedic surgeon Dr. P. Suryanarayana from Chennai’s SINS Hospital.
Attendees delved into the benefits of advanced ceramic implants in joint replacement, including reduced infection risk, minimized wear, and extended implant lifespan. Esteemed international faculty shared their expertise, with Dr. Micheel Wagner from Germany, Dr. Martin Zimmermann from Switzerland, Dr. Izan Ibrahim from Malaysia, and Dr. Chandana from Sri Lanka presenting on the advantages of advanced technology implants for improved patient outcomes.
In his address, Dr. Gurava Reddy prominent orthopaedic surgeon, emphasized the importance of understanding outpatient challenges to deliver effective patient care. He encouraged young orthopaedic surgeons to stay abreast of the latest advancements to better serve their patients. Additionally, orthopaedic experts Dr. Akhil Dadi and Dr. Avtar Singh facilitated interactive discussions on clinical presentations and shared practical insights on enhancing patient treatment.
Over 150 orthopedic specialists attended the event, engaging in presentations and discussions on how new technologies can improve surgical outcomes and patient quality of life.
