RIB Software SE, the world’s leading provider of iTWO 5D BIM Cloud enterprise platform technology for the building, construction and infrastructure industry, successfully hosted its annual global community and partner event, the 6th iTWO World Conference. The world’s first artificial intelligence engineer, McTWO, made its debut at the conference, which is a significant milestone since the company announced at last year’s conference its strategy to enter the artificial intelligence era.
The conference hosted over 800 industry leaders and iTWO partners from 26 countries in the construction ecosystem, including contractors, real estate developers, material suppliers, governments, consulting companies, universities, as well as cloud managed services providers.
Tom Wolf, Chairman and CEO of RIB, kicked off the event with his keynote “McTWO meets Bauhaus”. He related construction digitalization transformation to the revolutionary spirit of Bauhaus and raised the concept of Bauhaus 4.0, in which construction should combine art, function and digitalization. RIB has been the pioneer of construction digitalization, leading the industry from the desktop 5D BIM era to the cloud era, and now to the artificial intelligence era with its first AI solution, McTWO. McTWO can support onsite engineers on their daily tasks and dive deep into the project data to provide smart analytics and insights for construction management, bringing unprecedented productivity increase. The company’s enterprise cloud solution MTWO, launched in collaboration with Microsoft in April this year, will become the main data pool for McTWO to grow, as it connects all players and jobs to the integrated platform.
