Bengaluru, November 15, 2018 : Unisys Corporation, today announced that registration is open for the tenth edition of its annual flagship technical project competition for engineering students in India, Cloud 20/20. The contest has successfully run for nine consecutive years with an aim to provide an insight into emerging technologies of the future through innovative student projects.
This contest is open to research students and postgraduates, as well as pre-final and final-year engineering students in computer science, information technology and other related disciplines. It allows students to test and refine their technical skills for industry readiness by collaborating with leaders in the industry as well as explore exciting career opportunities with Unisys.

Some past winning innovations at Cloud 20/20, which have the potential to solve many of the world’s most complex issues, have included – iPay, a cloud-based, cash-free retail payment system using just fingerprints; Cloud Connect, a project that aims to provide an automated brokering framework; Fin Assistant, a one-stop chatbot for investors; Kinect based AI gym trainer, a gym trainer powered by Artificial Intelligence. The contest has seen large and growing participation, with more than 25,000 teams over last nine years, making it one of the country’s most popular technical contests for engineering students.

Cloud 20/20, a collaboration between Unisys, academia, and the technology industry, offers student participants the opportunity to refine their technical knowledge and marketable skills by working alongside some of the best minds in the IT industry. The contest is open to research students, postgraduates as well as pre-final and final year engineering students in computer science, Information Technology and other related branches. The campus outreach program by Unisys India also features informative demos, educative roadshows, webinars and knowledge-sharing sessions with industry experts for students to advance their learning.
The grand finale of Cloud 20/20 Year 10 will be held in Bengaluru in April 2019, where the finalists will demonstrate their technical projects to a panel of industry experts. The winning teams will share a prize pool valued at INR 4.25 lakh. Over 16 internships and three job placements were also awarded by Unisys to the finalists and winners of last year’s edition of Cloud 20/20. Registrations are open and will close on December 31, 2018.
