DEPwD organizes Run for Unity on National Unity Day

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) will observe the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas / National Unity Day on the 31st October, 2023 in commemoration of the 148th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel – the Iron Man of India.
With the vision to create awareness among the masses, the Department will be observing the National Unity Day on 31st October 2023, through the institutions associated with it by conducting various events across the country.
On this occasion, the department is organising the Run for Unity in Delhi from Rajghat to Lal Quila in Delhi at 8.30 am tomorrow. Around 600 citizens including Divyangjans will participate in the Run for National Unity.
Department through its various organizations such as ISLRTC, NIEPMD, NIEPID will be organizing various programmes such as Run for Unity, Pledge taking ceremonies, various competitions such as Rangoli, Essays writing, debates etc. on this occasion.
