Exicom launches India’s ‘fastest’ DC chargers for electric vehicles

New Delhi: Exicom, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and Critical Power solutions in India, announced the launch of the country’s fastest DC Chargers with capacities up to 400kW. The Harmony Gen 1.5 DC Fast Chargers, equipped with an advanced AI-driven remote management system, are designed to improve the charging experience for users. The chargers come in three frame sizes offering modular construction that provides power outputs ranging from 60 kW to 400 kW.

The upgraded chargers focus on user-centric design and functionality, which includes a cable management system that simplifies handling heavy charging guns and integrated ambient lighting for better visibility and status indication. They comply with PAS standards, making them accessible to physically disabled individuals.

Designed to withstand India’s challenging climate and electrical conditions, the Harmony Gen 1.5 chargers boast over 95% efficiency and are versatile enough to charge a wide range of vehicles from lightweight cars to heavy-duty buses. The advanced AI-driven Remote Management System facilitates predictive maintenance, improving reliability for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and end users. The chargers also include variants for destination charging, suitable for malls, city infrastructure, and office complexes.

Manufactured from premium quality steel, these chargers are durable and include a credit card payment terminal for international markets. Anant Nahata, CEO of Exicom, emphasized the strategic vision behind the launch, stating, “Our commitment to building exceptional products and driving tech innovation stems from our dedication to solving real customer problems. As we continue to offer these innovations in India and drive our international expansion, our primary focus remains on creating a seamless, frictionless experience for users and infrastructure owners alike. This approach not only addresses the core needs of all vehicle categories but also paves the way for a greener transportation ecosystem. With over 4500 DC chargers successfully installed, we’re bridging the demand-supply gap and empowering EV drivers to confidently embrace electric mobility.”

The preference for DC Fast Chargers over AC Chargers is growing swiftly, fueled by the increasing adoption of EVs, government initiatives to enhance EV charging infrastructure, and advances in fast charging technology. According to MarketsandMarkets, the global DC fast charging market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 37.6% between 2020 and 2025.

Exicom is expanding its footprint beyond India into Southeast Asian markets and Europe, supporting the growth of the global EV ecosystem. The Harmony Gen 1.5 DC Fast Chargers cater to a variety of clients including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), dealerships, service stations, and Charge Point Operators who manage public charging networks.
