Mansi Sehgal, the former state winner of the prestigious national pageant Femina Miss India, has taken the internet by storm after it was announced that she has joined the Delhi-based Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Mansi has pursued her BTech degree from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and is an engineer by profession. She is also a TedX Speaker, and an entrepreneur with a keen interest in philanthropy.
Speaking to a source about her motivation to join the political party, she said, “Inspired by the honest governance of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and hard work of MLA Raghav Chadha, I chose to join the Aam Aadmi Party, and I feel that through clean politics, we can bring about a substantial change in the world that we live in.”
During her pageant journey, the beauty queen had expressed her vision to work towards the betterment of society. With her entry into politics, Mansi has inspired the younger generation to draw interest in the country’s operations. “From an extremely young age, I wanted to do something good for society, to make a difference. For any nation to prosper, health and education are the two main pillars, and I have seen tremendous change in these fields in the last few years, under the leadership of CM Kejriwal,” she stated during her induction.
She further urged women and youth of the country to participate in politics to “bring about the change that we all wish to see.”
MLA Raghav Chadha inducted Mansi into the Aam Aadmi Party at Naraina Vihar Club in the presence of several residents. He said, “I am delighted that the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal instill confidence in young people to join politics and serve the people, and the AAP family is growing leaps and bounds with each passing day.” Raghav stated as he welcomed Mansi into the AAP family.
