New Delhi, India, July 25, 2019 : FICCI today launched its new initiative ‘FICCI Future- X’ platform that aims to elucidate Industry 4.0 technologies, highlighting the opportunities and challenges for students and faculty, through Future Talks, Capacity Building Programs and Immersion Programs. The FICCI Future Talk series brought together leading industry members and subject matter experts of ‘future technologies’ to collaborate, gain new knowledge, network, share experiences and become a platform to create ‘future-ready’ society.
The first of the talk series, on the theme ‘Demystifying AI – Data, Design and Disruption’, was organised at FICCI. The talk was led by Ms Nivruti Rai, Country Head, Intel India. Ms Rai said, “Artificial Intelligence is nothing but digging data, stitching it into a model, analysing and inferencing. India is a powerhouse of talent for taking this head on and creating value for society at large.”
Dr M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE said, “India has done phenomenally well in creating large infrastructure for lakhs of aspirants every year. However, to cater to the next-generation of engineering skill requirements we need to focus on improving enrolments in advanced courses, enhancing employability and capabilities of faculty.”
The launch program was attended by more than 300 participants including representation from Government agencies, leading industry conglomerates, Higher Education Institutions, Schools, Sector Skill Councils, Embassies and various organisations involved in Skill Development. The live telecast of the launch was made available by Microsoft to more than 15 states and six countries.
Mr Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General, FICCI said, “We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. Through FICCI Future X, we are building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world’s most inspired thinkers, industry experts and academic leaders.” FICCI aims to organize this every month in various parts of the country.
