FlexRadio commences shipment of ML-9600 series of wideband transceivers for government/commercial sector evaluation

AUSTIN, Texas–()–FlexRadio Systems today announced the first shipments of their ML-9600 series of wideband transceivers. Starting with the ML-9600W, the radio provides a platform for those agencies testing and developing high frequency (HF) radio technology and applications to address emerging threats in a modernized HF environment.

This new HF software defined radio will deliver wideband capabilities using MIL-STD-188-110D waveforms up to 48kHz and customer-supplied waveforms up to 78kHz to augment and provide an alternative to Satcom communications. The ML-9600 series is also capable of legacy and next generation Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) technology, including 2G, 3G and 4G ALE, for robust and efficient communications.

“The combination of FlexRadio’s unique software defined radio IP and HF expertise, coupled with our open applications programming interface (API) and customer-supplied waveform capabilities, allows operators to customize and adapt the radio’s functionality to better suit their specific needs and counter emerging threats,” stated Stephen Hicks, chief technology officer for FlexRadio Systems.
