GAIL India Ltd. to invest INR 18M in LR Energy VPL biogas project

In India, in its first round of funding, LR Energy VPL from India raised INR 18 Million (~USD $240,000) funding from GAIL India Ltd. for its pilot project of setting up 5000 Kg per day Compressed BioGas Project under “SATAT” Scheme by Govt. of India.

The Compressed BioGas will be purchased by GAIL Gas Ltd which will replace the conventional transport fuel.

The project is expected to be commissioned by June 2022 and generate a revenue of INR 1 Million (~USD 1.4 Million) + per year and offset 20,000 tons of Co2e every year.
