• According to a report by RedSeer, the Indian OTT market is projected to grow 80 per cent from 170 million in 2019 to 300 million by 2022.
Hyderabad, India, November 16, 2019 : The first edition of OTT Pulse ( Over the Top Media Services) will see content creators, industry experts, senior media executives and leading digital platforms showcase and discuss their opportunities, challenges and strategies.
Organized as a part of Indiajoy 2019, India’s largest Media and Digital Entertainment Event, in partnership with Green Gold Animation, OTT Pulse will delve into the world of creating and distributing truly personalized content.
The one day event on 20 November 2019 will have multiple panels and keynotes spread over the day which will include representation from the leading digital platforms. Taking the stage will be panelists from leading OTT platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Viu, VOOT and ZEE5 among others.
Speaking on the event, Bharath Laxmipati, Senior Vice President, Green Gold Animation said, The format of the event will focus on showcasing the leading digital platforms and their approach and tactics so far in a space that is arguable the most volatile and accessible to the audience today. With panelists that include senior media executives, artists and directors, the event will aim to capture a holistic view of the industry from the perspectives of all stakeholders of the digital industry.
On, how do you see the market going forward? Bharat added, The OTT space has introduced a new dimension to Media and its consumption. With the advent of OTT, the average content consumption in India has gone up from 450 hours a year, to almost 6000+ hours a year in the last 5 years. Animation has had a big role to play here. The success of Mighty Little Bheem and other Indian IPs globally has proven the importance of region agnostic content and the caliber of home-grown IPs.
With more than 10,000 visitors, the four-day conclave IndiaJoy 2019, being held at HICC from 20-23rd November, is expected to serve as a springboard for Indian media and entertainment companies on the world stage.
