IDC India announces the appointment of Santanu Ganguly as Director, Consulting, IDC India and South Asia, reporting to Amit Malhotra, Managing Director, IDC India and South Asia. He will be based out of the IDC office, Gurugram.
Santanu will be leading the Custom Research & Consulting practice. He has over 23 years of rich experience in the IT Industry with strategic Client Management, Sales & Consulting, Product Management and Partner Alliances across India, ASEAN & AP region. Before joining IDC, he was the Associate Director – Cloud & Resiliency Managed Infrastructure Services (ASEAN) with IBM at Singapore.

Santanu Ganguly is Director for Consulting, based in IDC India’s headquarters in Delhi NCR. Santanu and his team are responsible for leading all consulting and go-to-market‒related projects in IDC India. Santanu is also very well engaged with the end-user community, where he regularly advises clients in terms of strategic perspective to help enable them to accelerate business innovation.
Santanu has over 23 years of rich experience in the IT Industry, centered around strategic client management, sales, presales, and consulting, product management, and partner alliances across India, ASEAN, and the Asia/Pacific region. He brings in a wealth of experience and balanced understanding of IT Infrastructure, and various enterprise software and services portfolios. In previous organizations he worked with, such as IBM (Singapore & India), EMC (South Asia), and HP (India), Santanu and his teams enabled hundreds of clients (across diverse industry verticals) to successfully embark and accelerate their digital transformation (DX) journeys, with clear focus on business value and outcome.
Santanu holds a degree in Civil Engineering, and has several professional certifications such as General Management Executive Program from IIM Kolkata, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Data-Center Professional (CDCP), and ITIL certification, among others.
