• LDRA Certification Mentoring Programme (LCMP) is a unique initiative that provides services, support and expertise to MSMEs and Startups, enabling them to develop safety and security products that are internationally certified and accepted.
BENGALURU, May 24, 2018 : LDRA Technology Pvt. Ltd (a subsidiary of LDRA Ltd. UK), today announced the LDRA Certification Mentoring Programme (LCMP). This initiative looks to nurture the capabilities of MSMEs and Startups enabling them to create world-class safety and security products across industry sectors including aerospace and defence, automotive, medical, industrial, energy, semiconductor, rail transportation and communication.
LCMP is part of LDRA’s Certification Ecosystem Development Programme (CEDP), a broader industry initiative focused on skill-building across all stakeholders and creating a dynamic industry ecosystem.
Beyond these services, LCMP supports businesses who are working towards competency in internationally recognised safety and security standards in Aerospace & Defence (DO-178B/C, DO-278, DO-254, and IEEE 12207), Automotive (ISO 26262), Industrial & Energy (IEC 61508), Medical (IEC 62304), Rail Transportation (EN 50128), and Security (SAE J3061, IEC 62443, CERT C/C++, CWE, and MISRA C/C++).
The initiative also provides guidance in achieving the deliverable standards of global OEMs and leverages LDRA’s long-established rich industry network, optimizing business and learning opportunities and enabling even small and medium scale firms to target their products at the worldwide market.
Ian Hennell, Operations Director at LDRA, said, “The LDRA Certification Mentoring Programme is one of the unique initiatives encompassed by the company’s Certification Ecosystem Development Programme. Small and medium-sized firms often boast excellent design capabilities, but lack in-depth knowledge of Safety and Security standards’ implementation. LCMP will therefore play a significant role in creating a competitive ecosystem in India, supporting innovative companies for years to come.”
“We are customising the LDRA Certification Mentoring Programme as dictated by government policies, with the aim of supporting Indian companies in their achievement of global standards.” added Shinto Joseph, Director of South East Asia Operations, LDRA India. “Support from key industry stakeholders will have a major part to play in making this initiative a great success, and our existing relationships within the local ecosystem will provide a great foundation for that.” he concluded.
