Meta has yet to publish a specs sheet for the Quest 3S, so we don’t know all the hardware’s finer details yet. That said, we do know it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset, just like the previous model. This should enable “fast load times, smooth performance, and high-definition graphics.”
Inside the headset is a pair of Fresnel lenses with “3 position interaxial adjustment distances (IAD)”. Basically, this means the lenses give you crystal-clear image quality. Each half will output a resolution of 1,832 x 1,920 pixels per eye. The Meta Quest 2 has similar tech.

The Quest 3S will have a 4,324mAh battery with a battery life of about 2.5 hours. The field of view is said to be 96 degrees horizontal and 90 degrees vertical. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg claimed that the Quest 3S will support spatial audio. At the time of this writing, we couldn’t find any additional information on the headset’s audio system.
