Behind a complete-game performance by freshman Everen Novellino, five-seed Medford Tech recorded a 4-1 victory over two-seed Sussex Tech to win the NJTAC Groups 1/2 championship in Sparta.
Novellino allowed one run on three hits and three walks with 11 strikeouts to help the Jaguars win the title.
