Mumbai, India, January 26, 2019 : NSE Academy Limited (NAL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the NSE and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further develop and strengthen the accountancy profession in India.
The MoU signing between NAL and ACCA is considered significant, on the backdrop of rapid globalization which India is witnessing which is expected to continue, leading to a strong demand for accountants in the country.
NAL and ACCA will explore opportunities to secure essential and relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for members and stakeholders, to prepare them with skills needed to succeed in dynamic and demanding business environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Limaye, MD & CEO, NSE said, “As a part of continually seeking to facilitate the financial well-being of the citizens of our country, NSE has always focused on taking steps to create a large and knowledgeable investor base, which is critical for strong and vibrant capital markets. This association of NSE Academy & ACCA and relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for members and stakeholders will ensure that they maintain and develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic and demanding business environment.
Additionally, it will explore the development of joint thought leadership activities and hold joint events that add value to ACCA’s existing Professional Insights (PI) work.
