As part of the Tech Fest, RealPage India organized a Tech Expo to showcase work done by its engineering, business process management, content services and other teams. The Expo also featured a few startups in the real estate technology space and several 3rd party providers who augment the work done by their staff.
The teams, along with a few graduate and school students, competed in a 36-hour hackathon called “Realathon”. From fractional ownership to vendor marketplace to delivering solutions for mixed-use property, the teams showcased their thinking, industry, coding and presentation skills. Total of 28 teams including 3 teams from premier schools & colleges participated in the event.
The engineering teams were asked to solve industry problems, while other teams like HR, Finance, Content and Business Process were invited to participate in creating solutions that drive efficiency and simplify processes. Apart from winning technology gadgets, the participants will also see their solutions to be part of the development cycle for the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Sharma, Managing Director and Country Manager for RealPage India said, “Innovation is not about measuring the number of patents but about getting into the innovative mindset to meet future customer demands. Global capability centers today deliver on the objectives of their parent organization, but our intent is for all people at RealPage India and other global hubs to understand the industry we support and to shape the future of real estate technology. This includes delivering value from front to back and being relevant in the industry.”
Steve DeFord, RealPage SVP & engineering leader from the US, who has been in India over the past 6 months said, “We are clear about meeting our North Star objective and India is a key enabler. The passion, energy, and capability of the team in India is a true difference maker for us.”
