New Delhi: The three-day Startup Mahakumbh begun, now in its eighth year, is providing a platform for entrepreneurs and policymakers to connect and collaborate on innovative projects that have the potential to impact the growth of the country’s economy and society.
This year’s theme, ‘Climate Pavilion,’ is aligned with the government’s focus on sustainable development and climate change mitigation. The event is expected to witness a diverse range of activities, including panel discussions, keynote addresses, and exhibitions, brought together from leading brands, startups, and experts.
The inaugural address of the event was delivered by Gurdeep Singh, Chairman & Managing Director of NTPC Limited, highlighting the importance of power availability, reliability, and affordability in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
He emphasised the need for investment in clean energy technologies and sustainable development practices, noting that these key areas are critical for ensuring energy security and meeting India’s energy demands.
The first day of the event witnessed keynotes and panel discussions across various industry sectors, including AI + SaaS, D2C/Consumer brands, Agritech, Fintech, Deep Tech, Biotech & Pharma, and Incubators.
The sessions featured speakers from leading companies, including Chlorohemp, Drinkwell, Greenshift Energy, and Gap Solar.
