Startups to be the best backbone in the country ; help in generating jobs

The first edition of Thrive Haryana’2019 was recently being organized at The Leela, Gurugram by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) in association with the Government of Haryana. The first edition of Thrive was an initiative expected to be the biggest Haryana Tech-Start-up event. The event was organized for the thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, academicians, from the start-up ecosystem who promised to share their vision on how they see the world evolving aided by the impact of Indian start-ups across the world.

Delivering the inaugural address, Dhammapal Chawhan, Additional Managing Director, HARTRON spoke about how India is a big market with huge potential but still lacking to obscure the business. He emphasised on how crucial it is to safeguard national and economic interests to achieve a successful start-up organization. He also addressed that with the current and the upcoming opportunity India has it can surely become a US 5 trillion economy within a few years.

Further addressing the delegates, Dr. Raj Nehru, Vice-Chancellor, SVSU discussed that in order to become a successful start-up one needs to be innovative and highlighted how risk-taking plays and important part to build a strong start-up. He also highlighted the potential that lies with India is huge and also that there is an immense opportunity for start-ups to grow as start-ups are the best backbone in the country which will ultimately help in generating employment for the country.

Vivek Bhargava, CEO, Dan Performance Group, Dentsu Aegis Network delivered a keynote address discussing on the changing phase of Entrepreneurship in India and highlighted that it is ultimately the mindset of the society which has helped the entrepreneurship to grow. He discussed about howa certain skillset is required along with the developed mindset to help an entrepreneur to grow and he concluded by saying that “since we are at the cusp of changing if we broaden our ways of thinking in no time will be able to achieve a US10 trillion economy.”

The highlight of the conference was a discussion on various topics like Future in Emerging Tech, Learning through self-experience and fundamentals and funds at the right time Dhruv Shringi, Vice- Chairman, IAMAI and Co-founder& CEO, Yatra.com delivered another key note
address talking about his journey as an entrepreneur highlighting the challenges along with the opportunities an entrepreneur faces. He also enlightened the delegates about why sustainability is important for any business to grow and one also needs to have a differentiated market strategy in order to have a better and a last longing start-up.
