Tirupati, India, October 20, 2019 : Sri Venkateswara University and ITAAP (IT Association of Andhra Pradesh) jointly organized a symposium on “Strategies to Nurture and Employ Local youth of Andhra Pradesh” in Senate Hall of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on 19th October.
Challa Madhusudhana Reddy, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has participated in the event as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Challa Madhusudhana Reddy has stressed need for skills improvement among youth. He said that the government is committed to enhance skills of state youth towards better employability.
Keeping the youth skills and employment needs, the government has formulated 75% employment shall be given to local youth. Towards fulfilling skill requirements by the industry, the government of Andhra Pradesh is going start a Multi Skill Development Institute to bridge the industry-academia. The Multi Skill Development centres will be established in each Parliamentary Constituency to for training and linking to local industry requirement towards industrial growth, he added.
Madhusudhana Reddy said that, these institutes will work in global standards with best-in-class training infrastructure. Towards, the government is identifying global best models in establishing Multi Skill Development Centres. He invited industry to share and contribute to the idea of Multi Skill Development Centres. He conveyed that a task force comprising of Industries, Skill Development corporation and academics will be instrumental in finalizing the sectors / themes to be included in the proposed MSDC. He also urged youth to utilize various courses being offered through APSSDC. Further, he conveyed that very shortly certification courses in association with SAP, Data Analytics and Data Science will be offered.
Speaking on this occasion, Pratap Reddy , Director, Information Technology Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, conveyed that the government is committed to electronic and IT cluster development in the region and shortly will be establishing Skill development Institute, exclusively for electronics sector.
Industry representatives from Electronic Mobile Cluster (1 &2), near Renigunta, Ags Health care, ISUZU ( Sricity), Pec, Dixon, FAPSIA, Sunny Opticals & other software companies have participated and shared their deliberations. In this programme, Registrar, SVU, Rector, SVU, Principal Commerce & Management, SVU, ITAAP president, APSSDC team, Siemens centre team has participated.
