Bangalore, India, January 26, 2019 : India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), is a premier trade body representing Indian Electronic Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) industry. IESA’s member base of 260+ companies represent a spectrum from Large Global Corporations to Large, SMEs and Start-ups from Domestic Technology companies in ESDM space, including Academic Institutions and Venture Capital firms.
“Celebrating Excellence in ESDM”. Technovation Awards, aim to recognize role models of innovation and excellence in the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem. These awards shall honour India’s best individual contributors and organizations driving the ESDM industry forward and provide them with a platform to showcase their achievements and product successes.
These awards will be given during IESA Vision Summit 2019 on February 19 & 20, 2019.
Technovation Award Categories
Sarabhai Award
Technovation Sarabhai award is given for contributions by individual leaders towards developments or enhancements of electronics and semiconductor industry in India.
Most Promising Start-up
Technovation Most Promising Start-up award focuses towards highlighting innovations, technical / marketing excellence, customer acceptance, market success and true leadership offered by a start-up. Companies legally headquartered in India, with at least 60% of engineering done in India are eligible to apply. Unique business model addressing Indian/Overseas markets with products, services and IPs that are game-changer to the ESDM ecosystem, doing product development through direct/formal presence in India, with less than 3 years of formation of the company should participate in this category.
Most Innovative Products
Technovation Most Innovative Product award focuses on highlighting most innovative products developed in India for ESDM Industry. All companies based through a direct/formal presence in India can nominate/apply.
Best Electronics Manufacturing Company
Technovation Best Electronics Manufacturing Company award is to recognize Electronics Manufacturing, OEMs or Semiconductor Component companies with a manufacturing base in India and have brought in excellence through innovations to their manufacturing processes in and outside India.
Best Electronics Fabless / IP Company
Technovation Best Electronics Fabless / IP Company award is to recognize companies working with designs of chip development and have filed or patented IPs. These companies should have an operating base in India and should have brought in excellence through innovations to their designs, in and outside India.
Techno Visionary Award
Techno Visionary Award, is a lifetime achievement award given to an Indian academician, who made significant contributions to the field of Electronics and Semiconductor through research and development. It was instituted to recognize and honour a visionary, who has over the years made seminal and path-breaking contributions in Electronics and Semiconductor domain through academics and research.
Techno Mentor Award
Techno Mentor Award is to recognize academicians / faculty / professor / industry professional for his/her outstanding contributions in the domain of Electronics and Semiconductor through mentoring others in technical/academic fields.
Techno Inventor Award
Techno Inventor Award is for individuals from any Indian University with an innovative, cutting edge and relevant research at Master’s or Doctoral levels. One award for each, Masters and Doctoral level shall be bestowed.
Techno Graduate Innovators
Techno Graduate Innovators award is for individuals/team from any of Indian University with an innovative project/product, while being a student or have graduated in 2018. The innovative project/product should be a working model / prototype and the individuals/team should have been a part of product development in fields of electronics and semiconductor.
