Teledyne FLIR IIS Debuts Advanced Imaging Solutions with Sony Sensor Hardware
Teledyne FLIR IIS, a pioneer in imaging technology, has unveiled a new line of advanced imaging solutions, blending its distinguished imaging expertise with an in-depth comprehension of factory automation. The new suite of offerings includes camera hardware that harnesses the power of the Sony IMX547 sensor and a superlative 5Gbit interface to boost performance.
New Software update: Spinnaker 4
At the heart of the new solutions is the Spinnaker 4, the latest incarnation of the GeniCam3 API library. This software upgrade is aimed squarely at machine vision developers who require a robust platform to assess, test, and implement their products. The update heralds significant improvements in the performance and reliability of GigE cameras.
Undergoing rigorous performance testing, the imaging systems demonstrated remarkable endurance. The systems, which comprised 40 GigE cameras, ran continuously over several days and did not produce a single instance of incomplete images, testifying to the high reliability of the system.
The Forge Hardware Platform
The Forge hardware platform stands as a testament to the new software architecture provided by Spinnaker. Available in a variety of models compatible with different sensors, the Forge platform facilitates the construction of robust and powerful imaging systems. These systems not only match the performance of 5GigE but surpass it, ensuring efficient data transfers to the host.
A standout product under the Forge platform is the FG-P5G-50S4C-C, a 5.0 Megapixel system. This system leverages the Sony IMX547 color sensor and delivers impressive speeds of up to 122 frames per second. These new offerings from Teledyne FLIR IIS are poised to define the future of imaging in factory automation, pushing the boundaries of performance and reliability.
