The best TV deals for Memorial Day 2023

March is one of my favorite times of the year. Not only do we have March Madness (where my bracket usually gets shattered), but it’s also movie season with the Academy Awards. Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H have TV deals you can take advantage of right now, so you can catch NCAA tournament coverage and silver screen extravaganza highlights.

ZDNET recommend

Major companies like Samsung started announcing new models available right now, so TV retailers are dropping prices to make way for new 2023 models.

Right now, you can save over $1,000 on a Samsung model to enjoy whatever you love to watch. Whether you’re looking for a QLED, Mini LED, or OLED TV, there’s a panel on sale for you on our list. Check out our list of best TV deals below.

If you see something that catches your eye, I recommend you add it to your cart sooner rather than later. The deals may not last, and I can’t guarantee deals will still be available in 24 hours.

Best TV deals

Below are the best TV deals available. Farther down the page, you’ll see other interesting TV deals we spotted at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target.

  • Current price: $1,998
  • Original price: $2,998

You can save $1,000 on Samsung’s first OLED television. This 65-inch model supports both Dolby Atmos and object tracking sound for virtual 3D surround sound that follows on-screen action for an immersive listening experience. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother motion and Quantum HDR for enhanced detailing and contrast.

If you’re in the market for the latest and greatest and don’t mind the price jump, you can score the S95C right now. Check out my first thoughts on the new panel.

  • Current Price: $1,500
  • Original Price: $2,500

Scoring a 75-inch LG QNED TV for less than $2,000 can be tricky, so this $1,000 discount is a steal. Two softwares — Quantum Dot and NanoCell Plus — work together to bring a rich, accurate picture to this large screen. Plus, it’s packed with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

  • Current Price: $1,300
  • Original Price: $2,000

I personally rejoice any time an 8K panel is on sale after testing one last year. 8K is one of the best ways to stream new hits like “House of the Dragon” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” Samsung’s 8K 700B QLED panel can upgrade your theater space to top-quality picture for an equally picturesque and appealing price tag. It also features Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking, HDR 32X, and High Dynamic Range.

  • Current Price: $1,800
  • Original Price: $2,800

This 4K Mini LED can save you up to $700 for this 65-inch model. It comes with all the Sony features we’ve come to love: XR Triluminos Pro, XR Contrast Booster 15, and up to 120Hz variable refresh rate with the XR Motion Clarity. This awesome combo means it’s great for gamers, too. Because it’s Mini LED, you can use it in any home space — bright living rooms and dark dens — and get a great picture.

We chose TVs that were on sale for at least a 20% discount, since larger screen sizes and OLED models can get fairly expensive — even with sales. We also chose a variety of screen sizes from brands like Samsung, Sony, TCL, and LG to suit different spaces and budgets.

It depends on your space. In a nutshell, QLED models are designed for a brighter viewing area. OLEDs on the other hand offer a more cinematic experience for nighttime viewing or darkened spaces. ZDNET expert Michael Gariffo goes into much more detail here.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to TVs, and we certainly cannot recommend a certain brand over another because everyone’s needs and personal tastes vary. However, we have scoured the internet and produced our “best of” line to highlight our recommendations for TVs depending on a variety of factors. You can check out some of them at:
