Bengaluru, India – August 26, 2024 – Visionet Systems Inc., a leading provider of technology services and solutions, is gearing up to host the third edition of VisionTechFest from August 2024 to December 2024. This annual tech fest has rapidly emerged as a hub where different segments of the technology ecosystem like academia, start-ups, industry experts, and corporations, come together.
In its first two runs, VisionTechFest saw over 50 industry experts, 40 colleges, 2000+ students, and 30+ startups join in. This notable engagement shows how much the tech fest has helped spark innovation and collaboration across various fields.
The event featured multiple tracks, including:
-
TechStart: Mentoring and incubation for start-ups.
-
TechThon: Talent development among students.
-
TechExpert: The invited speakers will have talks and panel discussions on specific topics.
-
TechInnovate and TechTalent: To showcase the innovations by Visionet employees
Sandeep Agarwal, India MD and Global CTO of Visionet, emphasized the importance of the collaborative environment that the company aims to create. He says, “In today’s rapidly changing landscape, ‘open innovation’ is what we should all work towards. VisionTechFest aims to bridge the gaps between different segments and facilitate a seamless collaboration and flow of knowledge.”
VisionTechFest is one of those very rare platforms that fosters a ‘non-equity-sharing’ based collaboration between corporations and start-ups, where the latter keep their IP rights to their technology. This culture is of immense importance as it facilitates the free exchange of ideas and resources, thereby motivating innovation and growth across the industry. Anil A. Kuriakose, CEO, Algomox Pvt. Ltd. and winner of TechStart 23, remarked, “As a start-up and product-focused company, our capacity is limited. However, platforms like TechStart have empowered us to tap into the expertise of a diverse range of industry stakeholders—something that could have taken us ages.”
Events like the TechThon push students to step out of the four walls and face the challenges with innovative solutions. Prof. Gurucharan Singh, Executive Director of New Horizon College of Engineering said, “TechThon not only fuels their passion for problem-solving but also redefines the internship experience by offering hands-on mentorship and direct exposure to the industry. As a college that has partnered with this initiative right from its inception, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Visionet for the third consecutive year. This engagement is invaluable, as it bridges the gap between academic learning and professional growth, ultimately preparing our students to lead in the ever-evolving tech landscape.”
