Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju will inaugurate and address the four-day ‘WINGS INDIA 2018’ conference to be held here from March 8.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Civil Aviation Secretary R.N Choubey will also address the inaugural session of the biennial event organised by FICCI jointly with Ministry of Civil Aviation, and Airport Authority of India at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad.

Hyderabad : WINGS INDIA 2018 is organized in pursuance to the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘giving flight to the aspirations of the common man’, FICCI said in a statement here on Wednesday. Besides a special focus on connecting the cities and towns aimed at increasing the regional connectivity in the country, the theme of the event this year is ‘India-Global Aviation Hub’. Delegates from 10 countries namely USA, Japan, U.K, Russia, Singapore, France, Germany, Malaysia, Hongkong, Italy and Iran will participate in the conference.
This biennial Exhibition on Civil Aviation and Aerospace, is also expected to witness a larger participation from International and Indian Companies from sectors such as Aircraft Manufacturing, Aircraft Machinery and Equipment, Aircraft Interiors, Airlines, Airline Services and Air Cargo, Airports Infrastructure and Equipment, the Space Industry and the Skill Development & Aviation Training Institutes.
The conference aims to be the most comprehensive platform in the region for the interactions, forging alliances, investments and air connectivity between the States and the global aviation players/ stakeholders.
