Earlier on May 8, Mallick was received by Marek Wojcik, the Voivode (local governor) of Slask province in Poland.

The two discussed deepening the economic and other ties between India and Slask. The Indian envoy also congratulated Wojcik on the successful holding of the 16th European Economic Congress.
