If you have FSA or HSA funds to spend before the end of the year, there’s a new opportunity to use them – a smart ring.
Starting today, Samsung says, you can purchase Galaxy Ring using HSA or FSA account funds.

The $399 Galaxy Ring — Samsung’s newest health and wellness tracking wearable — lets you get several health metrics 24 hours a day, including sleep tracking, stress monitoring, movement, temperature, heart rate, and Energy Score.
It doesn’t have any subscription fees, and you can wear it for up to 7 days on a single charge (14 days if you use the cradle charger).
Three color options are available, including Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, or Titanium Gold. The ring comes in sizes from 5 to 13. If you don’t know your ring size, you can order a free sizing kit to find your best fit.
What makes the Galaxy Ring special? When ZDNET editor-in-chief Jason Hiner tested it, he called it “outstanding at overall wellness tracking” and said it even passed the Apple Watch in several ways. Not only does the ring give you plenty of health insight, but it gives you actionable advice. For example, the ring might notice your energy level is a little low and recommend getting more sleep or more exercise.
Oura has a similar offer for its smart ring, which costs only $300, but has a $6 monthly subscription fee.

To purchase a Galaxy Ring with your FSA or HSA account Samsung says, you’ll need to buy it first and then submit for reimbursement. It’s best to check with your account provider before you make the purchase to confirm that your plan covers a Galaxy Ring.
If you’ve been on the fence about picking up a smart ring, this is a great offer. Not only is a ring easier to wear than a smartwatch, but you don’t have to charge it nearly as often. If you can pick one up with some pre-tax money you have set aside, it’s a great deal.
